Fablab

Fablab is a space of innovate at AIC ADT Baramati Foundation fosters creative thinking and innovation through an open network of students, faculty and community members. Digital Fabrication Laboratory is a place to play, to create, to mentor and to invent: a place for learning and innovation. This laboratory was set up to inspire people and entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into new products and prototypes by giving them access to a range of advanced digital manufacturing technology. It provides access to the environment, the skills, the materials and the advanced technology to allow anyone anywhere to make (almost) anything.

Laser Cutting

Laser cutting uses an extremely small, powerful laser which delivers a focused beam of light to the material it’s cutting with extreme precision. Cutting is a common process performed in the manufacturing industry. Materials, as well as preassembled workpieces, often require cutting. While some manufacturing companies use cutting shears, others use newer and more advanced methods, such as laser cutting.

Wood Cutter

CNC wood cutting machine is a CNC router tool that creates objects from wood. CNC stands for computer numerical control. The CNC works on the Cartesian coordinate system (X, Y, Z) for 3D motion control. Parts of a project can be designed in the computer with a CAD/CAM program, and then cut automatically using a router or other cutters to produce a finished part.

CNC Router

Computer numerical control (CNC) router is a computer-controlled cutting machine which typically mounts a hand-held router as a spindle which is used for cutting various materials, such as wood, composites, aluminium, steel, plastics, glass, and foams. CNC routers can perform the tasks of many carpentry shop machines such as the panel saw, the spindle moulder, and the boring machine.

• Fab Lab (fabrication laboratory) is a small-scale workshop offering open access to (personal) digital fabrication FabLab is a digital workshop which can be used by the public to create transform creative ideas into tangible prototypes.
• FabLab comprises digitally controlled machines like a lasercutter, CNC-router, a 3D printer, a vinyl cutter and electronics with the aim to make “almost anything”.
• FabLabs form an worldwide community that shares knowledge and techniques. Which fosters innovation.

• Makerspace may call itself a FabLab is it adheres to the Fab Charter (link) . FabLab is a community, not a franchise.

FabLab (fabrication laboratory) is a fabrication workshop which gives everyone in the community from young children through to entrepreneurs, schools and established businesses, The capability to turn their ideas and concepts into reality. Using open source design software and a selection of computer controlled machines, users can design and make almost anything. it is open to anyone and everyone who has an interest in making things.  We welcome novices through to experienced designers and engineers.
