Are you interested in learning how to work with digital fabrication machines and exploring the potential of open source digital manufacturing? Our Fablab AIC -ADT Baramati is looking for hands-on interns to support ongoing projects/research and our open days. Additionally, we provide you with tools, machines and support to develop your own project.Gain practical experience by helping out in the lab on daily tasks and research projects.
Fablabs are a global network of local labs, enabling invention by providing access to tools for digital fabrication. where people learn and create through doing. Our Fablab is a place to play, to create, to learn and collaborate with others. We provide access to things like: 3D printers, laser cutters and engravers, CNC milling machines and routers, vinyl cutters and plotters – just to name a few.
At the Fablab, we are committed to providing you with a top-notch experience. We provide you with access to a wide range of machines, software and resources including a mentor throughout your internship that will guide you in taking your creativity to the next level

Fablab AIC-ADT Baramati offers a unique experience to learn and experiment, an opportunity to create or invent something new. The lab is a space where students can develop and design their own projects/ideas with the help of creative tools and machines. At Fablab AIC-ADT Baramati, we encourage interns to develop a concept or project within these topics – furniture/art/light sculptures/tessellated design/electronics design, end-to-end systems for fabrication. We welcome critical makers with interesting projects.
On our open days we welcome visitors, explain how Fablabs operate, show what visitors can make, and share the philosophy behind the maker movement. We are looking for an outgoing person who can work independently or in a team and is interested in interacting with people who have no previous knowledge about digital fabrication.
• BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF FABLAB MACHINES (IS A PLUS)
• EXPERIENCE WITH OR INTEREST IN PROTOTYPING
• CAN WORK WITH 2D AND 3D CAD SOFTWARE. (3D PARAMETRIC MODELING IS A PLUS)
• BASIC ARDUINO PROGRAMMING SKILLS (IS A PLUS)
• BASIC SOLDERING SKILLS (IS A PLUS)
• INTERESTED IN CREATIVE EXPERIMENTS AND DIGITAL TINKERING
• ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY IN A DYNAMIC AND CREATIVE ENVIRONMENT
Electronic Intern
• Design and develop printed circuit boards.
• Design and develop footprints for electronics components.
• Prepare documents for PCB assembly, schematics, and fabrications using CAD software
• Design layouts to develop high-speed and reliable circuits
• PCB design content creation.
• Work on the routing layout.
• Analyze and resolve any design-related issue.
• Provide support to PCB engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Provide revisions based on the specifications of customers and engineers
• Review and recommend improvements to existing designs
• Assist teams in preparing test procedures to verify PCB functions
• Kicad 5 or 6 PCB Design,

Mechanical intern
• Designing the outer casing of a hardware product
• Designing and developing original concepts and prototypes
• Working with the other intern for electromechanical workflow for product design
• Working with a 3d printer ,cnc router ,laser cutter e.
• Assist teams in preparing test procedures to verify mechanical design
• Review and recommend improvements to existing designs.
• Assist teams in preparing product design workshops
• CAD ,design thinking ,Parametric design ,Freecad , mechanical design ,fusion 360,solidwork ,MS office etc.
• are available for full time/ part-time online /offline internship
• are available for duration of 6 months •
