In an important step towards promoting entrepreneurship, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Institute of Research, Training and Human Development (SARTHI) under its Sarsenapati Santaji Ghorpade Sarathi Entrepreneurship Development (Incubation) Scheme have collaborated with AIC – ADT Baramati Foundation for implementation of yearlong EIR fellowship cum Incubation Program for Maratha Community entrepreneurs!

Objectives of Sarthi-AIC Incubation program

✦ To encourage graduating student to take to entrepreneurship by providing support as a fellowship from the tageted groups.(Maratha, Kunbi, Maratha-Kunbi and Kunbi-Maratha)

✦ To provide a prestigious forum for deserving and budding entrepreneurs to pursue their ventures without any additional risks involved in technology based businesses.

✦ To create, nurture and strengthen a pipeline of entrepreneurs for incubators

✦ To make pursuing entrepreneurship related to a technology business idea more attractive among available career options.

✦ To enable creation of new start-ups by entrepreneurs and significant progress towards raising funding or investment.

The Opportunities Under Sarthi-AIC Incubation Programme Includes

✦ Guidance from experienced, innovative and highly successful entrepreneurs on the business concept, strategy or venture and insight into specific industries or markets.
✦ End to end mentoring support from idea validation to business plan drafting.
✦ Best practices for starting a business and broaden the professional network.
✦ Office spaces for developing the idea into a marketable product.
✦ Guidance to apply for government grants of higher TRL, funding network and ecosystem network, and individuals who will support them in their initial startup journey.

Eligibilty Criteria

✦ Domicile: Must be a resident of Maharashtra.
✦ Caste: Must belong to one of the following categories:

    Maratha, Kunbi, Maratha-Kunbi, or Kunbi-Maratha.
✦ Educational Qualification: Should have an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or a diploma in the field of science or engineering.
✦ Innovative Idea: Must possess an innovative idea that can be developed into a scalable technology business model within one year.
✦ Start-Up Commitment: Should have a scalable technology start-up and be prepared to pursue it on a full-time basis.
✦ Entrepreneurial Background: Should be a first-generation entrepreneur with no prior source of income.
✦ Engagement: Must actively participate in events organized by SARTHI and AIC – ADT and be available upon request by officials.
✦ Creamy Layer Certificate: The candidate must possess a Creamy Layer Certificate.
✦ Family Income: The annual family income should not exceed eight lakh rupees.
✦ Previous Beneficiaries: The applicant must not have previously benefited from the SARTHI scheme.

Funding Mechanism

✦  Selected entrepreneurs in the SARTHI – AIC – ADT Baramati Foundation Incubation Program will receive a Support Fellowship Grant of Rs. 25,000 per month for a duration of 12 months, with a maximum support capped at Rs. 3,00,000 for each fellow.

✦ This funding is bound to milestone completion and the submission of monthly progress reports.
